Everyone Needs Goals

If an ancient Methuselah isn't moving forward, setting goals, then he's just moving backward. So here are my V:TES goals.

* Grow the DC Player Base: It's my duty a DC Prince to try and grow the player base. We've had some great players who have had to push V:TES down on their priority list, and we need some new blood. I've got a few ideas on how this can be accomplished. Any input is appreciated, of course.

* Break the Top 50 by 2008 NAC: I hope that I haven't topped out at #72. I think I can inch my way into the top 50 by the time the dust settles in Montreal.

* Make a Good, Fun Saulot Deck:
I know this is doable because I've seen some very interesting Saulot decks. I've probably given up on ever making a Tier 1 Saulot deck (although the one from Johannes Walch definitely comes close), but I'm going to try to find something that reliably gets game wins and is fun to play.

* Win a Game with a Gargoyle Deck:
I say "Gargoyle Deck" here, but what I really mean is that I need to learn how to win with non-Tier 1 decks. When I'm on my game, I can pilot Tier 1 and Tier 2 decks pretty well, but my goal is to be able to take decks that don't have overwhelmingly obvious ousting mechanisms and win with them.

* Host NAC in DC:
Just because I think this would be fun to do. A lot of other cities are deserve to host, for sure, but really, where else can we really capture blood sucking deception and intrigue like we can in the nation's capital?

* Out Drink Hugh Angseesing
: Yeah, okay. Not possible, you're saying. I'm inclined to agree with you, but like I said, everyone's got to have goals.

I'll be checking in on these and hopefully other V:TES related goals as I come up with things to say about our favorite game. Here's to hopefully seeing some progress.
